Byzzie AI receptionist
An AI receptionist that books your clients
An AI receptionist answers your phone, texts and DMs when you're busy with a client. Byzzie's is built into the booking app, so it doesn't just take a message. It books the appointment into an open slot, takes a deposit if your rules call for one and texts you what it did.
What it handles
- Calls you can't pick up. Mid-appointment, after closing, on your day off. It answers with your business's name.
- Texts, Instagram DMs and Facebook messages. Same rules and same calendar as the phone.
- Booking and rescheduling. It offers real open times for the right person and service, and moves or cancels appointments under your policy.
- Prices, hours and directions. Answered from what you set up, never made up.
- Deposits. It texts a secure payment link instead of taking card numbers over the phone.
- Cancellations. When a slot opens, it texts your waitlist and books the first client who says yes.
How it works
- Keep your number. Turn on call forwarding for calls you don't answer. Clients dial the same number they always have.
- Set your rules. Services, prices, staff, hours, deposit policy, and what it should never handle on its own.
- It answers. Every call opens by saying it's your AI assistant, followed by a recording notice.
- It books or hands off. Simple requests get booked. Anything outside your rules becomes a message, and you get a text summary either way.
Example call (an illustration, not a recording)
“Thanks for calling Bloom Nail Studio, this is the studio's AI assistant. Calls are recorded. How can I help?”
The caller wants a gel fill with Dana on Thursday. Byzzie offers 11:00 or 4:30, books 4:30, texts a link for the $15 deposit, then texts Dana that the slot is filled.
Who uses an AI receptionist
Any business where the person who answers the phone is also the person doing the work:
- Barbershops, where the phone rings mid-fade.
- Hair, nail and lash salons, booked solid with long appointments.
- Spas and massage therapists, who can't answer in a quiet room.
- Tattoo studios, buried in Instagram consult requests.
- Pet groomers, trainers and detailers, whose hands are full all day.
What it won't do
- Pretend to be a person.
- Quote a price or service you haven't set up.
- Ask for card numbers out loud.
- Override your calendar, your breaks or your cancellation policy.

Common questions
What is an AI receptionist?
It's software that answers your business's phone, texts and social DMs when you can't, using your own services, prices, hours and rules. Byzzie's AI receptionist books clients straight into your calendar and sends anything unusual to you.
What kinds of businesses is it for?
Any small business that runs on appointments: barbershops, hair and nail salons, lash and brow studios, spas and massage therapists, tattoo studios, pet groomers, personal trainers, detailers and more.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. You keep your number and turn on call forwarding for calls you don't answer, which most carriers support. Byzzie picks up from there.
Will callers know it's an AI?
Yes. Byzzie always introduces itself as your business's AI assistant, and calls include a recording notice. It never pretends to be a person.
Can it take deposits?
Yes. It never asks for card numbers out loud. It texts the client a secure payment link, and the booking is held until the deposit goes through, if your rules require one.
What happens with questions it can't answer?
It tells the caller someone will get back to them, takes a message and texts you a summary. You decide what it may and may not handle.
How much does the AI receptionist cost?
It's included in the Byzzie AI plan, planned at $79 a month with unlimited staff. The bigger Byzzie Busy plan, planned at $149 a month, adds more AI call time and multiple locations. Prices may change before launch.
